PROVIDER & REFERRAL DISCLOSURE
The client chooses every outside provider.
Long Pathways may present neutral provider information and provide client-directed administrative assistance. This disclosure explains the limits of that assistance and the information clients should receive before making a selection.
Effective September 11, 2026 · Document version 2026-09-11.
Independent providers
Movers, shippers, appraisers, auctioneers, estate-sale companies, consignment providers, buyers, donation organizations, storage facilities, real-estate professionals, tradespeople, and other specialists are independent businesses unless a signed agreement expressly identifies a different relationship. The Portal directory does not include senior move managers, downsizing organizers, household-transition managers, aging-life care managers, or another business whose services directly compete with Long Pathways.
Client selection and contract
The owner or properly authorized representative makes the final provider selection. Under the Transition Assessment & Pathway Plan, Pathways Start and Guided Pathways, the client contracts with and pays the provider directly. Pathways Complete and Pathways Custom may include Managed Provider Administration; approved provider expenses may then be administered from a client-funded project reserve under the signed scope. Unless a signed addendum expressly establishes another lawful relationship, the provider’s contract remains directly with the client and Long Pathways is not a party to that agreement, employer, agent, joint venturer, guarantor or insurer.
Meaning of “vetted” or “trusted”
Long Pathways does not use vetted, trusted, approved or guaranteed as blanket descriptions. Any verification record means only that the specifically identified public information or document was reviewed on the recorded date. Credentials can change, and clients should independently confirm current status, scope, exclusions and insurance before signing.
Compensation and conflicts
Long Pathways does not accept a referral fee, commission, kickback or other provider compensation from any business listed or presented as a provider option. Any known ownership interest, reciprocal arrangement or other material relationship must be disclosed before the option is presented. The household record may identify the information source, alternatives considered and the client’s selection rationale.
Quarterly directory review
Long Pathways reviews visible directory records at least quarterly and records the source and date of public-review checks, available license or registration information, and provider-supplied insurance evidence. A record is hidden when its quarterly review or recorded insurance evidence expires. This process is a current-information check, not a guarantee of availability, performance, coverage, solvency or future standing. Clients should confirm all material information directly before signing.
Provider responsibility
The provider is responsible for its estimates, contract, personnel, custody, schedule, work quality, charges, taxes, insurance, warranties, claims, and regulatory compliance. Claims arising from provider work should be addressed under the client’s contract with that provider, and Long Pathways should also be notified when the issue affects coordination, safety, privacy, or future provider options. Long Pathways remains responsible for duties expressly assumed in its own written agreement and for conduct that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
Client-directed administrative assistance
Long Pathways may organize information, maintain the transition timeline, prepare questions, facilitate communications, preserve provider documents and record client decisions. When Managed Provider Administration is included in a signed Pathways Complete or Pathways Custom scope, Long Pathways may communicate approved instructions, coordinate schedules, administer authorized project payments and maintain provider records within the client-approved scope and budget. This authority does not make Long Pathways the provider, employer, motor carrier, construction contractor or licensed professional, or authorize it to select a provider, sign or modify the provider’s agreement, or otherwise bind the client beyond the written administrative authority.
Insurance is separate
Long Pathways’ insurance applies only according to its policy terms and does not insure an independent provider, a client’s property, or the provider’s performance. A certificate of insurance summarizes information, confers no contractual rights, and does not expand or reduce the responsibilities in a signed agreement. Clients should request and review each provider’s current insurance evidence when appropriate.
Household-goods moving
For an interstate household-goods move, the client must request and review estimates, select the provider, contract with and pay the licensed carrier or federally registered broker directly. Long Pathways does not quote transportation charges, solicit bids, negotiate rates, book or tender a shipment, accept transportation payments, select valuation coverage, sign carrier documents or alter transportation terms. Long Pathways may organize the broader transition around dates and information supplied by the client and carrier. Clients should review the provider in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration system and read applicable consumer-protection materials before signing.
Appraisal, sale and donation
Long Pathways may provide flat-fee estate sale coordination under a written scope. The client selects and signs directly with the estate-sale company, auction company, buyer or other sale provider and receives sale proceeds directly. Outside appraisers and sale providers remain independent. Long Pathways does not take ownership, accept property on consignment, receive sale proceeds, provide professional appraisals, determine tax deductibility or issue donation receipts.
Vehicles, RVs and titled assets
Long Pathways may organize information and present appropriate independent vehicle, RV, marine, powersports or specialty-provider options. Unless Long Pathways later operates under a separately approved lawful licensing structure, the owner or authorized representative selects the provider, approves transaction terms, executes title and sale documents and receives proceeds directly from the buyer or dealer.
Shipping and release
A parcel-shipping request or payment does not establish ownership, authority or a right to release property. The owner or properly authorized representative must approve the item, recipient, address, provider-supplied charge and release before fulfillment. This portal workflow does not authorize Long Pathways to procure interstate household-goods transportation.
Concerns
Raise a provider concern with the provider under its contract and also notify Long Pathways if the issue affects coordination, safety, privacy, or future referrals. Long Pathways may document the concern, pause coordination, or remove a provider from future consideration without deciding a private dispute.
