FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Clarity before commitment.
Understand the Pathways, Portal, household-planning scope and decision boundaries before choosing a next step.
Which Pathway should we choose?+
You do not have to decide alone. Begin with a complimentary meeting. The $495 plan provides clarity; Pathways Start completes one priority; Guided Pathways supports family-led work; Pathways Complete provides full coordination; and Pathways Custom serves larger estates, multiple homes, aging in place and longer or highly tailored work.
What is Pathways Custom?+
Pathways Custom is individually scoped after assessment. It is generally reserved for larger estates, multiple residences, significant space planning, extended planning horizons, aging-in-place continuity or work that cannot responsibly be placed inside a standard range.
Can Long Pathways measure a new home and plan furniture placement?+
Yes, when included in the selected scope. Long Pathways can document room, doorway, furniture and artwork measurements; prepare consumer-friendly floor-plan and placement information; and help identify what fits or whether different furniture may be needed.
Can you help someone who plans to remain at home?+
Yes. Household inventory, possession intentions, space planning, records and review points can support aging in place. Long Pathways coordinates the household plan while licensed medical, legal and financial professionals remain responsible for regulated advice and care.
How long is Family Portal access included?+
Every pathway includes Portal access aligned with the engagement, generally for at least six months. There is currently no separate household Portal subscription fee or automatic future billing.
Who chooses an outside provider?+
You or your authorized representative retain final approval. Long Pathways can organize options and administer approved arrangements when Managed Provider Administration is included in a signed Pathways Complete or Pathways Custom scope.
Will Long Pathways pay provider invoices?+
When included in the written Complete or Custom scope, Long Pathways may administer authorized payments from a funded project-cost reserve and preserve invoices and receipts in the household record.
Does Long Pathways contract directly with providers?+
Most providers contract directly with the client. A Complete or Custom agreement may establish a different arrangement for a specifically identified non-regulated service, but only when expressly stated in the signed scope and confirmed as legally and operationally appropriate.
Are provider services covered by Long Pathways insurance?+
Each provider must maintain insurance appropriate to its work. Long Pathways maintains insurance for its own covered operations, but does not represent that every provider action or client-property loss is insured by Long Pathways.
Do movers contract with Long Pathways?+
No. The client selects and contracts directly with the properly registered mover or broker. Long Pathways coordinates the surrounding household transition.
Does Long Pathways hire contractors for home repairs?+
Licensed construction and trade work normally remains contracted directly between the client and the licensed contractor. Long Pathways may coordinate approved dates and household readiness without acting as the construction contractor.
Does Long Pathways provide legal, medical, financial or appraisal advice?+
No. Long Pathways coordinates household transition work. Specialized or regulated advice remains with appropriately qualified professionals.
Does Long Pathways conduct estate sales?+
Long Pathways coordinates them. We can organize contents, identify items that may need specialty input, gather suitable written provider options when reasonably available and compare provider-supplied fees, expenses and estimated proceeds. You select and sign with the estate sale or auction company directly, receive the proceeds directly and Long Pathways never takes a percentage. Estate sale coordination starts at $1,995.
Does everything go on eBay?+
No. The appropriate channel depends on the property, condition, likely buyer, shipping requirements, expected value and specialty expertise required.
Does Long Pathways appraise property?+
No. Preliminary marketplace research may support planning, but it is not a professional appraisal and does not guarantee a sale price or timing.
Can Long Pathways sell my car or RV?+
Long Pathways can coordinate suitable dealer or specialty options for a defined fee: $595 for a car, truck or SUV; $995 for an RV, boat, trailer or motorcycle; and $1,995 for a classic or collector vehicle. You choose the buyer, sign all sale and title documents and receive payment directly.
Does Long Pathways carry commercial insurance?+
Yes. Long Pathways maintains commercial general liability, professional liability and cyber liability coverage for its covered operations. Independent providers remain responsible for their own insurance and work. Current limits and public verification copies are available on the Insurance & Risk Management page.
Can we use the Portal without purchasing a Pathway?+
A limited number of Founding Households may request complimentary self-guided Early Access. Requests are reviewed before secure activation; coordinator case management and hands-on services remain separate.
Will we be charged automatically for the Portal?+
No. There is currently no separate household Portal subscription fee or automatic future billing. If an optional paid continuation is introduced later, advance notice and your affirmative choice will be required.
What if we need more time?+
Additional time is available only with your approval in fixed blocks: a video checkpoint ($345), an in-person checkpoint ($495), a 5-hour onsite session ($695), or coordination time in 5-hour ($625) or 10-hour ($1,195) blocks. For services with included coordination hours, Long Pathways will alert you when approximately 75% has been used so you can decide what happens next.
Do you charge for travel?+
Onsite work across Greater Phoenix is included when stated in the selected Pathway. Elsewhere in Arizona, approved travel is billed at the current IRS business mileage rate at the date of travel plus drive time at $65 per hour. For work outside Arizona, approved airfare, lodging and meals are billed at cost and travel days at $500 each. Every trip is approved in writing before booking, and many out-of-state properties can be coordinated remotely by video.
How are Long Pathways services paid for?+
The one-time $495 Transition Assessment & Pathway Plan may be paid through Long Pathways' Stripe-hosted checkout after the household contact and applicable terms are confirmed. Pathways Start, Guided Pathways, Pathways Complete and Pathways Custom are billed through a separate invoice emailed after the written scope and agreement are approved.
Is the $495 credited if we choose a larger Pathway?+
Yes. If the same household later enters a signed Pathways Start, Guided Pathways, Pathways Complete or Pathways Custom engagement, the full $495 planning payment is applied once against the Long Pathways service fee shown on that engagement's invoice. It does not apply to third-party charges, travel, reimbursable expenses or project reserves and has no cash value.
How do we begin?+
Schedule a complimentary 60-minute Greater Phoenix meeting or an optional 15-minute phone or Zoom call. You can describe what is happening without knowing which service you need.
