EVERY POSSESSION HAS A PATHWAY™

Seven clear outcomes. No item left in limbo.

Keep, Family, Sell, Donate, Store, Ship and Dispose turn an intention into a recorded decision, a responsible next action and visible proof of completion.

REQUESTS ARE NOT APPROVALSInterest stays separate from authority.

A family request, recommendation or vendor option cannot silently become a final disposition.

THE AUTHORIZED PERSON DECIDESEvery approval has a name and date.

The owner or properly authorized representative retains final decision-making authority.

COMPLETION NEEDS PROOFThe pathway stays open until the work is documented.

Receipts, photographs, tracking, acknowledgments and activity history close the record.

PATHWAY 01

Keep

The possession stays with its current owner.

Keep is an active decision—not a default pile. The item remains in the current home or travels with the owner, with its intended location, handling needs and supporting records clearly documented.

When it fits
The owner actively uses or values the item
Recorded
Current and destination location

PATHWAY 02

Family

The possession is assigned to a named recipient.

Family connects a meaningful possession to a specific person through an owner direction, will or trust instruction, authorized representative decision, or documented family agreement. Requests for consideration remain separate from approval.

When it fits
The owner has named an intended recipient
Recorded
Recipient name, relationship and portal email

PATHWAY 03

Sell

The possession follows an authorized route to an appropriate buyer or sale provider.

Long Pathways can coordinate an independent estate-sale company, buyer, dealer, auction company or specialist under a separate written Asset Disposition scope. The owner or authorized representative makes the final selection, signs directly with the provider and receives the proceeds.

When it fits
The item is not being retained or distributed
Recorded
Person or company responsible for selling the item

PATHWAY 04

Donate

The possession is transferred to an independently selected recipient after approval.

Donate documents the receiving organization or person, acceptance requirements, authorization, handoff and receipt. Long Pathways may coordinate the record, schedule and possible recipient options, but it does not accept, own or take custody of donated property as the donee.

When it fits
The item is useful but not being retained, distributed or sold
Recorded
Person or company responsible for coordinating the handoff

PATHWAY 05

Store

The possession is held securely for a later decision or use.

Store is used when retaining access matters but immediate placement is not practical. The record identifies where the item is held, who controls access, cost, review dates and any preservation needs.

When it fits
A decision must be deferred for a defined reason
Recorded
Facility or household location

PATHWAY 06

Ship

The possession is sent to its approved recipient.

Ship turns a recipient assignment into a controlled fulfillment process. The recipient confirms an address and preferred timing; the coordinator or professional approves packing, cost and release before shipment.

When it fits
The approved recipient cannot collect locally
Recorded
Portal-linked recipient and private address

PATHWAY 07

Dispose

The possession is responsibly removed when no other pathway fits.

Dispose is the final, neutral pathway for items that cannot reasonably be kept, distributed, sold, donated, stored or shipped. Approval and documentation prevent rushed or accidental removal.

When it fits
Condition makes donation or sale impractical
Recorded
Reason the item cannot use another pathway
