STEP 01 · UNDERSTAND

WHAT THIS PHASE MEANS

Understand

Clarify the situation before building the plan.
What we clarify
Goals, timing, household priorities, important belongings, decision authority, risks and unresolved questions.
What you decide
Who may participate, what matters most now and what a successful outcome should protect.
What becomes visible
Confirmed facts, information sources, open questions, responsible people and the recommended next step.
Practical example
An older adult wants to remain at home while an adult child is helping from another state. We document the homeowner’s priorities, who has authority and which household issues need attention first.
